In immunocompromised patients, Globugold 5% Injection (IVIG) provides passive immunity by neutralizing germs and viruses with IgG antibodies. In autoimmune diseases, it stops platelets and other cells from being destroyed by blocking Fc receptors on immune cells. Additionally, IVIG uses anti-idiotypic antibodies to neutralize dangerous autoantibodies. By preventing complement activation, it lessens tissue damage and inflammation. In order to reduce aberrant immunological responses, it also increases regulatory T-cell activity and modifies cytokine levels.
