Mechanism of Action:

Cetrorelix reduces the pituitary gland's production of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH) by inhibiting the activity of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH). By preventing early ovulation, this suppression improves the timing of egg retrieval during IVF.

Dosage and Administration:

One subcutaneous injection of 0.25 mg is given every day. usually begins on the fifth or sixth day of ovarian stimulation and lasts every day until the day that hCG is administered.
